Between increases on excise duties, super tax and expensive gasoline, maintaining a car is becoming a very difficult undertaking. Car rides can be reduced, however the four-wheeled vehicle remains indispensable for many! So how is it possible to drastically cut expenses related to fuel consumption? A valid alternative way is to buy amethane car. To confirm the reliability of the choice, this is demonstrated by the increasing sales: just consider that between August 2011 and August 2012, the market share rose from 2.6% to 4.2%.
Methane car. Advantages
The first tangible advantage can be found already at the gas pump: the price per kg is about 50% of that of a liter of petrol. To understand how evident the economic advantage is, just note that 1 liter of gasoline is equivalent to only 0.667 kg of methane. Another factor not to be overlooked is the greater autonomy of the tank compared to a petrol car. By purchasing a methane car it is not only our pockets that benefit from it but also the environment due to the reduced CO2 emissions. The only disadvantage could be represented by the scarcity of distributors in Italy.
Methane car. Incentives 2013
Thanks to the approval of Parliament, the incentives are official and will cover not only electric and hybrid cars, but also those running on methane and LPG, provided that the maximum CO2 emissions remains below the 95 grams per kilometer threshold. The eco-incentives will be available to motorists for the three-year period from 2013 to 2015 with a bonus of 1,200 euros for the purchase of methane car but only in case of scrapping of your old car.
